The government-run showroom is a storehouse of the finest traditional handloom products that the state has to offer.
Located at Sachivalaya Marg, near the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) office, it's a must visit for handloom connoisseurs who wants to experience the rich weaving heritage of the state and collect some of the finest hand-woven fabrics including Ikat, natural dyed Kotpad fabrics, hand spun wild tassar silk, hand-woven Bomkai etc.
“Boyanika has been at the forefront of the Handloom marketing market in Odisha and is responsible for obtaining the GI (Geographical Indicator) Mark for Ikat and Kotpad vegetable dyed fabrics.”
The beautiful sarees and fabrics are sourced from the best weavers, co-operative societies and tribal communties of the state. And since Boyanika also supplies the raw materials to the weavers through its ‘Yarn Banks’, quality is assured. They are also authorised to use the ‘Handloom Mark’ and ‘Silk Mark’.
